Bar charts are a valuable tool for comparing values for specific measures across various data sources such as providers, clinics, divisions, or geographic areas, all at a single point in time. They provide a clear and concise means of conveying complex data in a visually digestible format.  

Accessing Bar Charts: 

  • Navigate to the QI Panel: Access the QI Panel, where you’ll find a list of measures and relevant data. 
  • Choose a Measure: Select any measure you want to analyze over time from the available options. 
  • View the Extended Visualization: Click on the “+” icon to access the extended view of the selected measure, where you’ll discover the Bar Chart option positioned on the right side of the charts. 

Key Insights for Bar Charts: 

  1. Percentage Representation: Bar charts are designed to facilitate meaningful comparisons among various data sources. To achieve this, the bars within the graph depict percentages rather than raw numerical values.  
  2. Hover for Raw Data: For those who require the raw numerical data, simply hover your mouse cursor over each bar, and the raw numbers will be revealed.
