What’s New?
- Prescribing Measures:
We are excited to introduce new Prescribing measures to MOIS, OSCAR, Profile, and Med Access users. These measures highlight patients with coded prescriptions for a given medication in the past year. Many of these measures are similar to existing measures that look at the “active use” of a medication by a patient. HDC has introduced these new versions as we have found that for various reasons, the ability to accurately track measures that are “active”, was not meeting our standards, whereas tracking the rate of prescription of medications was much more reliable.

- Updates to Medication Prescribing Subdomains:
To support the changes to the medication measures, the Medication Prescribing Subdomains have been updated to accommodate the new Prescribing measures. The Medication Prescribing Domain now contains the following subdomains:

- New Diabetes Measures:
We have also introduced new measures related to Diabetes management. These are available for MOIS, OSCAR, Profile, and Med Access.

| Diabetics with obesity | The percentage of active patients with diabetes (based on the problem list) who have obesity as documented in the problem list or by the last measurement of BMI or waist circumference. |
| Diabetes type 2 patients with no antidiabetic agent prescription in past 6 months | The percentage of active patients with diabetes type 2 (based on the problem list) who have had no prescription of insulin or oral antidiabetic agents in the past 6 months. |
| Diabetes type 2 patients with prescription of “metformin only” in past 6 months | The percentage of active patients with diabetes type 2 (based on the problem list) who have been prescribed metformin only (no prescription for other oral antidiabetic agents or insulin in the past 6 months. |

- Disabled Measures:
We have removed Wolf support for the following measure:
