HDC Discover 2.17 Release Notes

These release notes contain supplemental information about Version 2.17 of HDC Discover. Please do not hesitate to contact our support email support@hdcbc.ca should you have any questions or comments about any of these changes.

What’s new?

The definition of obesity by measurement has been changed based on the BC guidelines recommendations: Obesity .  The definition of obesity for females based on waist circumference is updated from over 95cm to over 88cm.

Due to the discovery of some data discrepancies that occurred after the release of 2.17, we have not loaded 2021 Q2 data while we perform further validation. Data points not loaded varies for different EMRs.

MOIS – we have not updated Q2 2021 data for the following measures:

  • Heart failure patients with two weight measurements in past 6 months
  • Heart failure patients with weight measurement in past year
  • Patients age 12-19 with BMI or WC documentation in past 2 years
  • Patients age 20+ with BMI or WC documentation
  • Patients seen in the past year with coded adverse reaction risks
  • Chronic pain prevalence
  • Heart failure patients with ejection fraction
  • Chronic pain patients on opioid medication
  • Patients age 20+ with obesity by last measurement
  • Complete STI/BBP testing including HIV test
  • Ratio of coded adverse reaction risks
  • Patients with coded adverse reaction risks
  • Patients age 20+ with obesity by last measurement or health concern
  • Diabetes screening

OSCAR – we have not updated Q2 2021 data for these measures:

  • COPD patients with post-bronchodilator spirometry
  • Chronic pain prevalence
  • Asthma and FEV1 documented

Wolf  – we have not updated Q2 2021 data for this measure:

  • INR monitoring

MedAccess and Profile – all supported measures will be loaded for 2021 Q2.

Please be advised that all listed measures are under investigation and will be loaded once they pass an extra round of quality assurance.
