The HDC is pleased to announce the addition of four new members to the Board of Directors at HDC’s virtual Annual General meeting (AGM), held on September 24, 2020. Dr. Herb Chang, Dan Palfrey, Dr. Omesh Syal and Dr. Tim Troughton were elected. Each new member brings an impressive background and passion for QI.
Dr. Robert Schertzer, Dr. Cole Stanley and Dr. Richard Welsh were re-elected for a subsequent term.
The Board provides leadership and governance, while being accountable to its physician members. GPSC’s funding has enabled the creation of HDC Discover, a data visualization tool used for physician Quality Improvement (QI) that connects BC primary care physicians through their Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and provides aggregated insights.
Dr. Brenna Lynn, Chair of the Nominations sub-committee, shared her enthusiasm at the talent and expertise of the board. “I think I speak for everyone when I say we are thrilled to have Drs. Herb Chang, Omesh Syal and Tim Troughton as new physician members along with Mr. Dan Palfrey as a public member joining our Board. Herb, Omesh and Tim are all family physicians and EMR “Super-users” representing OSCAR and MOIS and all have a passion for QI. Dan brings a strong business and financial perspective, having worked in leadership roles with an EMR company and health economics, using health data analytics. We feel very confident in having a committed Board of Directors of new and existing members, as we look forward in working together to achieve HDC’s values and objectives.”
Please help us welcome Herb, Dan, Omesh and Tim!
